They really should have stopped with Mission Impossible: Fallout
This movie is bloated, and it is only part one of two. The 'villain' is a tired trope. The actors are looking way too old for their high-octane lives now.
Technically, it's the usual top-notch stunts, etc. No complaint there...except I didn't care about why the derring-do was needed.
As for the rest, the plot meanders and retreads ideas from other movies in the series and elsewhere. And they treat some of the characters poorly. If you've seen the movie, you know what I'm referring to.
This is the only Mission Impossible movie I didn't like, which I thought would be impossible given how much I liked the others, particularly Fallout, which came right before this. I won't even bother with Part 2; I will just watch a synopsis of the plot on YouTube to find out what happens.
Pity, but this is what a cash-grab movie does to a series, ending it on a sour note.
