One of the best movies of recent times. Initial half an hour, may feel like any other dull movie. But then the grip that movie takes on your thinking is unbelievable. A fake personality, middle class person with average capability and his frustration. A compromized marriage with a talented girl. Caring parents and even more caring in-laws. Description of history is excellent. Very melodious music. Untouched subject of world war -ii from history view point. But no opinion / judgement is passed in entire movie. It is just depiction of facts with great documentary. Unlike Yash Chopra movies, Europe is shown in a different way.

For the uninitiated, this is an official adaptation of the another south film, Unfortunately, the track record of remaking/adapting films in general hasn't quite been a fruitful one every time. However, the one thing I can definitely vouch for - is that this is one of the worst ways of adapting movies that I have seen in recent times. All the doubts and scepticism about and if the film will do justice to the original can be well justified with this movie.

More often than not, makers go textbook and pin out scenes not effectively making it suitable for the new target audience you are catering to. With this movie, actors and directors have successfully failed. Not only does the film become extreme headache with the subtle nuances but they are done with such unfitness and thought that it flows with all difficulties. Bad acting has affected the story or making sanitised but important changes to the more complex subjects from the original - it is indeed worst. Fortunately or unfortunately for the film, both halves compete with each other to make it worse. Amazingly, that was not the case with the original. With this movie, the pace and tempo fails drastically in the second half. As scenes get heavier with emotions, the writing takes a backseat and it is then on the actors in the frame to enhance it with their acting chops. That doesn't entirely happen and hence it starts becoming a worst movie.

Movie will not garner the posts Swara put on twitter promoting this. Bad Direction. Clueless editing. No music. No back ground music. Actors acted so badly that I am sure people spend more time in wash room than in movie as they just want to wash their eyes to avoid sleep. Why such movie is being produced is a question. All ambiguous and double meaning dialogues. Swara overacts in all the scenes. No plot or clue as where the movie is going. Quite predictable and understandable. Though genre is comedy, there is hardly anything to laugh at but the efforts of Swara to make you laugh for no reason and no one laughed too.
