A lovely film, beautifully acted, and very realistic. So dark and hopeless for most of its duration, but it's vital that alcohol user dependents (AUDs) know that there is an easier way out of this disease than abstinence programmes, which usually fail - neuropathic pathways can be reversed 👍💪 😊 - check out TSM, The Sinclair Method - much better success record, using the prescriptive drug Naltrexone, currently n/a because of NICE stipulations, but available privately. People with this addiction urgently need to be informed of this drug - it's life altering, for sufferers, families, friends. Spread the word.
Amazing first series, but the second one - really slow - had to force myself to watch in the hope that it became more interesting. Not a bad story line but too many boring episodes. Could've been accomplished in 5. If there's a third series I hope it is more captivating. I'd really like to see what happens, but, it needs to be better to hold my attention. Good characters, cast and acting - just drawn out. Also, generally, too much time filling with unimportant scenes about food and history of family - blah, blah, blah. Yes, of course we need to know about the family history but episodes like the Christmas one - 👎👎👎
