mm-75687's rating
I don't understand how a film director can cast an entire film without a single actor who can actually act. I recognized one actor from previous films but the rest were all unknowns. It is easy to see why they were unrecognizable. Any of the idiots who gave this a 9 or 10 rating must be related to the director or something. Because no halfway intelligent person could think this was a good movie. I just continue to be dumbfounded at the lack of quality in modern films. How can any movie studio make money putting out this kind of garbage? It almost seems like anybody can get a film produced today.
I continue to be amazed at the absolute garbage that gets passed off as a movie these days. This movie has Angus MacFadden who is a talented actor, but you would never know it watching this garbage. Milla Jovovich looks good and sometimes she seems like a good actress. Not so much in this movie. I find it hard to believe that this movie actually received a 5.2 rating on imdb. That's about 4 points too high. The only reason I didn't turn it off in 15 minutes is because of the fact that there is plenty of female nudity. As far as the story goes, it is not very interesting or enjoyable. The director must not be very good.
How can you make a movie with Ray Liotta, Andy Garcia, Esai Morales, Bruce Davison, Armand Assante and Danny Trejo and have it turn out this bad? The story is completely predictable and derivative. The dialogue is stupid and cliched. Most of it is just insanely boring. Then a ten minute shootout pops up to try to stimulate some interest. Unfortunately the movie is so far gone by then that you just don't care. This is another example of how it appears that anyone can get a movie produced no matter how horrible the script is. I have to assume that the strong cast could have done something great with a suitable script.
