Demolition Man eerily predicts a future dominated by over-regulation, sanitized society, and the loss of personal freedoms. The film's themes of censorship, digital surveillance, and a hyper-controlled utopia are very relevant today. The future world is run by a bunch of wussies, which is sort of like the current state of society. With its satirical take on political correctness and the loss of individuality, the movie feels like a warning for our times. Stellar performances from Stallone, Snipes, and Bullock, with the sharp social commentary, make Demolition Man both entertaining and timeless.
Superman II follows up an already great original with the ultimate superhero rom-com. The chemistry between Clark Kent and Lois Lane is electric. General Zod is a Villain With Attitude. His "kneel before Zod" moment is Broadway gangster-style.
The special effects are fantastic....for the 80's and that's the best part. Also, who cares when you have a better love story than Twilight? Superman's decision to sacrifice his powers for love is the ultimate man move.
In short, Superman II is an important reminder that saving the world is great, but saving your love life is even better. This film is a true superhero classic.

Double Team is the ultimate version of a 90's action flick with punchings, shootings, and destructions galore. Van Damme, Rodman, and Rourke are fantastically fun to watch together. Van Damme overcomes a heinous haircut to deliver martial arts awesomeness. Add to the mix some basketball jokes, tiger fights, an irrelevant plot involving North Korea, grenades in a baby nursery, vending machine bomb shelters, and a foot knife fight and you get a movie that is awesome times two. After people get tired of the CGI overkill, gender-appropriated roles, and woke movies, audiences will come back to these reliably offensive classics for old-fashioned entertainment.
