This film is arguably the best Studio Ghibli film (it is in my opinion, followed by a close second of Howl's moving castle and totoro). The animation and the scenery are both beautiful beyond what my words are able to express. The music somehow makes you feel longing, as if you had been in a ghibli world before. It all invokes a feeling of beauty, bittersweet, and a bit of wonder.
I recommend to this to people of all ages because i truly believe that you haven't lived until you;ve been to the world of ghibli (figuratively of course, but wouldn't it be wonderful if we could actually be there)
