martinbrown-32880's rating
What is this version? I only know the Russian film of 1964 - to which I would give a 10 star rating. Absolutely wonderful. Beautiful to look at, very witty and sometimes hilarious!
The picture of the main characters looks familiar though. They seem to be the original Russion actors so it seems the list of actors given above is for a completely different film. Almost as mystifying as the original story!
I would recommend anybody interested in this story to seek out the original film as I don't see how it could work in any other language or culture - or indeed how it could possibly be bettered.

I could recommend this for insomniacs. Fell asleep not long after the start - it has been a while since I have seen a film that made so little sense.
The title is an untruth - it seems this part of the planet attracts corpses.
