There's nothing wrong with this film; everything is perfect. The plot is wonderful and disturbing, as it touches on some very sensitive topics. The stark and raw staging amplifies the concept behind this film, so much so that I literally felt sick by the end. The actors are amazing, and the scenes of pain are well-crafted and touch the heart, keeping you glued to the screen throughout. I think this film is a must-see because it will leave you speechless for a while.
This film is truly something new, with a gripping plot and highly sensitive themes, all of which have one thing in common: revenge. Each character in the film seeks their own revenge with their own methods, many of which are obviously brutal. It's hard to pinpoint a single protagonist in this film because no one is right or wrong, which keeps you confused (in a positive way) throughout the entire movie. This first chapter of the "Revenge Trilogy" is wonderful, with no obvious flaws, and will keep you glued to the screen throughout. I recommend everyone watch this film at least once in their life.
After more than 10 years of seeing a bleak vision of the DC Universe, James Gunn has arrived to "fix" things. What we see isn't a movie, it's literally a comic book brought to the big screen, introducing us to Superman, a symbol of hope for others and the savior of humanity. An excellent, flawless film that takes a dig at everything Snyder created with his "Man of Steel." DC rises from the ashes and starts over in the best possible way. However, there are many doubts about the handling of the characters, particularly as it's still unclear which previous films are canon in Gunn's universe. The film also features some small variations on the origins, one in particular is a bit disappointing but still passable. The action scenes are masterful, and everything works perfectly. In any case, it's truly an excellent film, perfect in every way except for the music, which ultimately amounts to a remix of the soundtrack, but is still very beautiful. Go watch it because you are in front of something big that is about to begin.
