So far, I have enjoyed watching two seasons of Summertime on Netflix, and I'm looking forward to Season 3. I like watching the characters evolve as they seek independence and learn more about themselves and their inclinations.
The scenery is beautiful, and the influence of sometimes missing, sometimes shaky, sometimes overbearing, and sometimes liberal parenting contributes to the drama within the drama.
The motorcycle racing adds excitement-an element that prevents the series from becoming too slow and sleep-inducing.

Thanks for this interesting, insightful and thoughtful series. I was surprised, however, that there was no mention of the trailblazing, independent, African-American filmmaker Oscar Micheaux. He's worthy of significant attention if a follow up to "They've Gotta Have Us" is pursued.
