It speaks volumes that Americans find any of "The Americans" story-line credible. The people spying on God's Own Country during Reagan's military build-up of the early 80s seem to have no political motive for doing this whatever - and they murder people at every corner. They're really card board villains - and apparently the KGB raped its agents that it sent west, just to boost morale. How is this any story at all - it's basically all just reiterating the crudest enemy images of the Cold War. And yes, also Oliver North has contributed a script, because the best insight into what the "russkies" were up to will come from a dude known for his role in deceiving Congress about his financing of death squads in Central America.
I couldn't sit through more than 5 minutes of this. Dumb egocentrics with lots of money celebrate and someone is apparently going to die (don't know). Why just one, and not all? Watch the Flintstones instead; that show has relatable, well-developed characters that are lacking in this outgrowth of German bourgeois banality.
