Was really looking forward to watching this and I was not disappointed! A really enjoyable palace drama with great leads and a talented overall cast. Li Yitong is capable and smart. Xu Kai is delightful and silly. The plot is very easy to follow. The costumes, sets, and cinematography are magnificent. Reminds me very much of Story of Yanxi Palace but less intense and more comedic (Yanxi was great but the cruelty was difficult to stomach at times). Court lady strikes a good balance between satire and tragedy. Definitely give this drama a try if you are considering it!
