GREAT CLASSIC EPISODE OF "THE ADDAMS FAMILY" SEASON 2 : Wednesday comes home crying because some bad man in the neighborhood told her that Witches don't really exist. Like a normal kid who's told Santa doesn't exist, she's traumatized. The family tries to find a live witch to come visit to prove to Wednesday that they do exist. They even try a Seance to summon a witch from the afterlife. Aunt 'Singe' was burned at the stake during the Salem witch trials, they try to summon her back. While grandma Addams is busy making taffy for the trick or treaters with porcupine needles in it. GREAT DARK COMEDY FILLS THE EPISODE of a show that was made way before its time.
THE TOP FILM OF DIRECTOR ANDY MILLIGAN'S ENTIRE FILM OUTPUT. Amazingly this movie was made on a budget so tiny that you couldn't buy a mobile home with it. The actors were mostly local NYC off-off-off Broadway actors from small coffee houses like CAFE CINO and LA MAMA. The only two slightly "known" cast members were porn star HARRY REEMS (Famous for "Deep Throat") and LAURA CANON (from "Forced Entry") NEIL FLANAGAN who worked in all director Andy Milligan's horror films played the drag queen Cherry. What director MILLIGAN achieved here for zero money is astonishing. A very real look at NYC in the depth of 42nd Street porn houses, prostitute hang-outs, dive bars, gay hustlers, and low life con artists. It feels, sounds, and looks real. It mostly was. Director Milligan knew these kinda folks personally. His no budget film is a real miracle. Everyone is exceptional especially Laura (as Dusty) and Neil as pathetic drag queen (Cherry) Would be rated NC-17 today... but back then in the 1970's is was rated one X. Don't miss this example of superb homemade filmmaking.
One of the TOP 3 EPISODE of all of Season 2 of "The Lucy Show"... Great Comedy mixes slapstick with incredible energy. LUCY desperately tries to prove she can bake as well as VIV.. She will resort to any trick in the book to convince all the friends that she can win a pie baking contest that VIV is entered in. LUCY is at her best during contest showing what an incompetent pastry baker she is (reminds one of the insanity of the I LOVE LUCY episodes "The Chocolate Factoy" and "The Wine Maker") Everyone in the cast is excellent. Situations with LUCY trying to hide or camouflage failures is inspired high laughs. Here is an episode that really entertains.
