  • Unintelligent

Best word to describe it, is unintelligent. Actors were good, in fact they're the only good about this series - along with the unpredictable, green and rough environment - but, why are the directors not even trying at least to make it realistic?? Why don't the men have long beards? What's with the nice modern day haircuts, or the dumb decisions - like Levi walking away to find something to open that box and Silas running away with it...? A military captain is absolutely smarter than that... but most characters keep making dumb moves. La Brea is purely unintelligent. I hate that good works of art get downgraded and destroyed to fit modern day dumb audiences. It's anti-evolutionary.

  • Immersive and near perfect

Always loved Japan since I first heard of their culture. Shogun, season 1 so far, was done nearly perfect. Everything, music, visuals, actors, class, story.

One remark though; it'd have been more 'interesting' if the English sailor's character had a little more depth and intelligence, but I can understand this choice for a dumb, simple sailor in the 15th century too. I just found Captain Allegren's character having that perfect natural dept that enriches a character. Jonathan Blackthorne is not bad however, just a little more 'down to earth'.

Well done, all who've contributed to this work of art.

  • Beautiful

Brings you back to a mystical & mythical Persia.

Such a shame they didn't make a sequel or more.
