What a 3 hour long load of dribble. The acting is fine but the characters are not that interesting. Lily Gladstone was about the only character that actually had some personality and she was pretty much bed ridden the whole film. The rest of the characters didn't provide anything to make them standout.
The execution of the story is what made this film so weak. It is dialogue heavy with a few action scenes but even with all its dialogue it never feels dramatic or intense. It all ends leaving one feeling indifferent and that defeats the purpose of telling such a story that impacted a whole group of people.
This film is highly overrated when you consider its simple story and the entertainment value it provides. It's a small piece of history that is told in the most unemotional way possible. Not a film that I would care to ever revisit. This is not Scorsese's best work and it doesn't deserve such high praise.

Juat so Tacky and plastic, C grade movie, first comments after time traveling--something that's been a dream in countless books and movies for a century or more--isn't about the profound experience she's just had, it's about how some guy's t-shirt at a carnival is "problematic."
Then two minutes later she sees, god forbid, a caricature of an Indian as a school mascot, and her reaction? "I knew I was going to see racism."
Yeah, uhhhh, I'll pass on watching a movie about the idiocy of the perpetually offended people we have today. We're all unfortunately already living it.

Lucky to get 3 stars, must have been made in a garage. I think if your looking for a really good story with a high quality finish you will be happy to skip this one. On a journey to Mars to set up an android colony, android Nova is given a program to mimic human emotions. She struggles to understand and express her feelings to her human crew mates, but another android on board rallies the rest to mutiny against their human masters. Just put that in to fill in the required minimum. The sci-fi flick has difficulty choosing a narrative and struggles to create a world. Do yopurself a favour and skip it.
