Accurate? I really don't know. But, as an stranger to these two countries, I feel like this show poops on both on equal measure. My brother called it a big commercial, a propaganda if you will, but he also likes "Chernobyl" to no end, which is ironic. He didn't get pass through the first half of the pilot, by the way, so figure it out.
Me? I loved this show. Pays so much attention to the psychology of its characters. And I genuinely believe it has more episodic value than other shows I've watched (Breaking Bad).
There's too much sex though. Justified sex, but still. Don't watch it with grandma.

So... As long as I get good zombie action, I can deal with an idiotic plot just fine. The casino shootout was worth my while. I got PTSD out of it. Just splendid.
Enough said.
Predictable when you know Spanish (and the meaning of a particular word).
The main protagonist saying "Yeah, I'm totally OK with this", when everybody else would have said "Nah, man. I'm out See ya tomorrow.". This in particular wouldn't have bothered me if I saw plenty of effort in the plot, but I saw none.
Anyways...
There's some decent action and suspense. And just like Biutiful wasn't a masterpiece and still had numerous memorable scenes, full of humanity, Victoria has one in particular that will stick with me for a long time. And for that I come out satisfied of this film.
