  • An Entertaining Case Study, Broadway Musical, Sadistic Love Story, Court Case Drama All Rolled Into One Crazy Descent Into Madness!!!

This movie is nowhere near as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Yes, it's weird. Yes, it's different than what you're expecting. Yes, it's a strange musical, but I was very entertained and that's all that matters. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think all the bad reviews helped me like me more because my expectations were pretty low, so I tried to turn my brain off and watch with an open mind. This might be a strange comparison, but I compare this movie to the spirit of Rob Zombie's Halloween II because it was so different than the original.

Two years have passed since the events of the original Joker and Arthur Fleck is still locked up in Arkham Asylum. He keeps to himself and awaiting trial for the events of the original. He soon meets Harley Quinn (dubbed 'Lee' in this movie) played brilliantly by Lady Gaga. Arthur and Lee hit it off quickly because she has an obsession with the 'Joker' persona.

This is where it becomes a musical and shows what it's like inside their minds. Some of the scenes that look like a Broadway musical are shot beautifully. It's interesting how it goes from gorgeous psychotic musical, to a courtroom case. I find courtroom scenes very interesting, so I was never bored with it.

Arthur soon realizes that the 'Joker' persona has taken a life of its own and there are people in Gotham who are obsessed with him, but will he live up to their expectations? If you loved the original, and can keep an open mind, I would highly recommend JOKER: FOLIE A' DEUX!!!

  • So Crazy, Weird, Disturbing, Traumatizing, Freaky, Sexy, Haunting and Gory!

I drove an hour away to see this movie, and the last 30 minutes of this movie alone was worth the trip! At first, I thought it was kinda slow and a little confusing, but it goes hard in the last act. I'll try not to spoil too much, but if you love crazy weird disturbing gory body horror movies, please do yourself a favor and go see The Substance ASAP!

The movie stars Demi Moore as Elizabeth Sparkle, an aging award winning actress whose time to shine is past her. She's now forced to do exercise tapes that hardly anyone watches. After getting into a car wreck, someone offers her the chance to try 'The Substance'

When she injects herself, another woman is born from her back. She's younger and prettier and calls herself 'Sue' Elizabeth has to go into a kind of hibernation for a week while Sue is out living her last life. If one dose of the Substance is missed, they will be forced to deal with the consequences.

This film definitely grows on you, and the last 30 minutes are just so crazy bonkers that I dare not to spoil it for you! I would highly recommend THE SUBSTANCE!!!

  • An Absolute Blast From Beginning To End!!!

Ever since I saw the trailer for Renfield, I was super excited for it. I even watched Vampire's Kiss to get ready. After seeing the movie, it definitely lived up to my expectations. It was such a fun bloody blast! Filled with action, bloody gore, comedy, horror, and even nods to early classic Dracula movies. Nicholas Cage was great and over-the-top as Dracula. You can tell he was having a blast playing the character because it's been a childhood dream of his to play. I've seen a few people complain that Dracula didn't have much screentime in this movie, but it is Renfield's movie and personally, I thought Dracula had a very decent amount of screentime. At no point was I ever bored and never thought to myself "Ugh this is boring, where's Dracula?" (Actually, it seemed like Dracula had more screentime here than Michael Myers did in Halloween Ends) I was very invested in the characters. This review might contain some spoilers!

In the early days, R. M. Renfield travels to Dracula's castle in hopes to broker a deal for some land, but ends up becoming Dracula's familiar. He must help hide him during the day, cater to his every whim, and bring him innocent victims to snack on. In return for that, Dracula allows Renfield to eat bugs. Bugs somehow give him vampiric superhuman abilities.

90 years later in present day, Renfield has had enough of Dracula, and tries to break free of him. He goes to a self-help group, and buys his own place. One night at a restaurant, Renfield reluctantly gets entangled with the Lobo mafia family and police officer Rebecca Quincy. Renfield and Quincy start developing a friendship, meanwhile, Dracula becomes enraged with Renfield and sides with the Lobo family in trying to kill him. Renfield needs every bug, crucifix, gun, and holy water in order to not only take down the mafia, but Dracula himself.

Like I said, this movie was an absolute blast and I look forward to adding it to my horror collection and watching it many times in the future. I hope it becomes a cult classic! I would highly recommend RENFIELD!!!
