Mr_Avenger

Mr. Plankton is quite a unique series for Korean standards. It breaks away from the usual clichés and the typical romantic storyline.

The series explores the lives of three people, their personal struggles, and how each of them manages to find redemption from their "bad luck." The protagonists are marginalized people who desperately seek the acceptance and love they never had as children. Their journey begins through a series of humorous coincidences, and an endless chase gradually drives the progression of the story.

The ending, although seemingly sad, is the best possible conclusion. The story was structured in such a way that it couldn't have ended differently.

On the downside, I didn't like how the female lead reacted when she found out about her lover's illness or how she handled the situation. Additionally, the constant traveling and moving from place to place became a bit tiresome. Lastly, Eo Heung could have had a better connection with the protagonists in the final episodes, as he seemed completely isolated, almost disconnected from the rest of the series.

The story is cleverly structured, with elements of comedy, thriller, and mystery. Of course, romance is also part of the mix! The main characters share great chemistry, which enhances the entire series. The supporting roles also play a significant part in the plot and are far from tiresome. On the contrary, they provide many enjoyable moments filled with laughter. You end up liking all the characters in this series.

The OST is also excellent and catchy. The only downside was a few moments near the end of the series where the effects looked unrealistic, almost laughably fake, and some repetitive dialogues between the main couple.

Shogun is a cinematographically impeccable series, with excellent direction, beautiful costumes, and stunning landscapes. However, it completely lacks soundtracks, which could have enhanced the series.

Although it initially seemed to have an interesting story, it gradually became so convoluted that it lost my interest. The lead character-a pirate-always had the same expression in his acting. There was too much political maneuvering and intrigue, which I found exhausting.

I never got to see the battle and the highlight I was expecting to happen. It leaves many loose ends for the second season, but I wouldn't bother watching it.
