I would actually give this movie about 6.5, but I'm rounding up to help balance the ridiculous people who give it a 1. I'm not sure why some people are so extreme when rating movies. A movie does not have to come up with a totally brand new idea to be entertaining. Yes, This movie is fairly predictable and uses plot ideas that have already been used. But it is suspenseful and fairly well acted. Like most movies, it is not a 10, but it is definitely not a 1 either.
Let's face it, there are only so many general story ideas that one can use for a movie. There are bound to be similarities as more and more movies are made. But if it is an entertaining version of the story, it's still worth watching. And this one is.

I had to get on here and write a review again because, as usual, the other scores on here just don't make sense. As I have said in other reviews, very few movies deserve a 1 or a 10. Those scores should be reserved for a masterpiece or a complete trainwreck. This movie is neither. It is a good movie with above average suspense and fairly good acting. It is a bit slow at times, but the premise is interesting and there are just enough spooky moments to keep you interested. It reminds me of the movie Fallen with Denzel Washington (which got a 7 on imdb). This doesn't have Denzel, but the quality isn't much lower. It is definitely worth a watch, especially considering all of the truly horrible movies in the horror genre.
I had to create an account because I am tired of people rating movies as either a 1 or a 10 when they don't deserve to be at either extreme. This movie did not have an original plot and was not perfect. But it definitely was not a 1. I almost listened to all the negative reviews and didn't watch it. But I'm glad I did, as it was a slightly above average horror movie. And there aren't enough of those around for us horror movie fans. There are so many movies out there far worse than this one, where the acting, writing and special effects are truly horrible. This movie was well acted and the camera work was great. There were times when it was a bit slow or predictable, but the ending was very intense and made the movie worth a watch
People please...a 10 should be for one of the best movies you have ever seen. A 1 should be for something that has no redeeming quality whatsoever. The other 95 % of movies should be some other number in between!
