I actually never expected another Boss Baby after watching the first one but this one caught me by surprise!! When getting the ticket I didn't just know what to expect. Then again Tim is all grown up and actually even has a family so I was like...ok, we have ourselves new characters here!! I lobe how the story is adult but executed through a child's mind. I would watch a third installment, without any question.
Its just amazing how a movie keeps pulling up the same kind of stunts in every sequel and still leaves the same impact as the first. There are a number of related action sequences redone from past movies like when Letty is knocked on a motorcycle and Dom drives to cushion her fall just like he did with Ramsey in F7, there is also the stunt where Mia catches Jacob just like Hobbs catches Shaw's sister in the spinoff Hobbs and Shaw. I like the unexpected twist and explanation of how Hans came back to life. The spaceship thing was unexpected though I think it was an overstretch I guess due to pressure (hahahaa!) from the viewers but generally, its a typical fast and furious movie that will again stick you glued to the screen till the end. The Deckard Shaw scene at the very end, obviously again leaves you guessing on what's the next mission and Hans knocking his door...?! Am already waiting for F10.
Obviously, you've probably watched this movie before but in that you had the story going back in time to rectify something. Here, the story is a past thing that is to happen today. Would have also been an obvious SciFi but Fuqua played around well with it. I felt a lot of The Matrix at the sky fall action but its ok. Mark Wahlberg never disappoints and of course Chiwetel always comes through just fine. I loved the introduction chase with Dylan and that makes it a worth watch.
