I grew up in Delhi listening to the album of this movie and it's one of my favorites. I was really eager to watch Delhi-6, especially because it was directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. But honestly, I think he's a one-hit wonder. He had a beautiful vision for this one, but he completely fumbled the climax. Even the direction overall was terrible.
Post-interval, the main character was taking stupid decisions, and yet everything turned out well so conveniently, which is exactly why the film didn't land with the impact that Rang De Basanti did.
Sensitive themes like religious harmony and dogmatism were handled far too lightly and, quite childishly.
I'll end this review where I began: the only redeeming quality of Delhi-6 is its brilliant album.
