I'm always quite staggered to see bad reviews for perfectly decent films, as happens all the time. Maybe every matinee movie is supposed to be a multiple oscar winner, I don't know.
The plot is perfectly possible, the characters are perfectly possible and it's not obvious the whodunnit, until you approach the climax.
There is the little problem of the Sheriffs accent coming and going, the mystery of a room full of Sheriffs people who were never heard of before, all sitting doing nothing ready to go and also it would've been nice to see a little bit more comeuppance for the obnoxious head of the university.
But all in all certainly not one of those many films you have to turn off after 15 minutes and well worth a watch when you haven't anything to do.
