I have just finished Dr Romantic, 1st Series. Wow! Stupendous! From the 1st scene to the last - perfect. So many incredible episodes whether it be simple surgeries, banter, super complicated surgeries, major accidents, heroism, mystery about the past involving a prestigious hospital in Seoul, friendship, jealousy, .... life in all its aspects.

There is also mystery, love interests, hatred, jealousy, and ordinary moments of sharing. That is, in the 21 episodes we saw slices of what doctors do, how they do it, why, and the sheer joy of making someone well.

The cast were so excellent in their understanding of the characters they were playing and charming the audience.

Each actor played pivitol parts - from Han Suk-ky, playing Boo Young Joo (Master Kim) a legendary physician.

Yoo Yeon seok as Dr. Kang Dong-joo, the top scholar who became a doctor to help people like his dad.

Seo Hyun jin as Yoon Seo-jung, a doctor devastated by an accident, rescued by Master Kim.

Plus many more,the nurse who has been with Master Kim for many years, doctors, etc.

If you haven't seen this work, you Must watch it. So full of love, care, intelligence, romance, passions,...

This drama was released in 2016, but it has withstood the test of time and glows!!

First, I can't understand all the negative reviews. There are 6 action packed, full of great human interaction episodes. I am a super fan of Jasper Liu and he did not disappoint, he was super charming, quirky, quixotic, funny, romantic, and athletic. I'd never seen Eugenie Liu who played the Princess, but she was also great. Be alert- lots of action, plot twists,side characters. Jasper is a top star, who was attacked and the Mafia princess rescues him. His agency hires a bodyguard, aforesaid princess (note that her dad is trying to get her married). What follows are some sweet, somewhat scary, cute, athletic episodes. Her dad does not believe that an actor should be her husband. Granted, Jasper had not even agreed to date her. There are some very funny scenes involving mafiosi who are quite lazy, don't follow orders, ...But Jasper was kidnapped and thrown into a river. Twist - when she was growing up, she had a quite large male playmate who was the son of a partner Mafia clan. The parents agree that they should marry. He is now slim, gorgeous, ...Jasper is again taken. Along the way, a number of very witty characters voice their opinions and urge them on or try to prevent them rom being together. Each episode is new, fresh, exciting. Does love prevail? Watch out to see.

I've watched a massive number of K Dramas. I was blown away by Secret Garden. So utterly beautiful, touching, funny, quirky, romantic, nail biting, stupendous. The casting was spot on. The aristocratic Chaebol played by the incomparable Hyun Bin who I think was at the thinnest he's ever been. He was in control in each scene, magnetism, romance, quirky, autocratic, ... The poor orphan child was Ha Ji-Won. She did not let the slings and arrows get her down. Oska, an aging K Pop star was exceptionally portrayed by Yoon Sang Hyun. There were no flaws in casting. Also loved the smaller roles for Lee Jung Suk (great, witty), Im Jung Soo (manly). A large Very excellent cast.

This drama will have you rooting for love from the 1st episode. How can 2 people who are so far apart coexist? Each episode had revelations, quirky scenes, one uppmanship, lots of drama, magic, romance and Action!!

This is not an adaptation of the old English classic.

Do you love romance, bickering relatives, triumph of good over evil, sacrifice, redemption? True Love? Action scenes?... You will not be disappointed. Wicked, really vindictive people not getting their way? YES

Please stick with the drama, all will be revealed. One of the absolute best ever!! You will experience every emotion imaginable- enjoy the ride!
