Boring but well photographed, I can't believe that men on the middle of one of the fiercest wars were so sentimental
I was at the Ossuary of Verdun recently. I think this movie is offensive to those brave people who died to stop the Germans and did. Eddie Redmayne is good actor but a terible casting for this role.
I generally liked it in spite of its historic inaccuracies, however, I do agree that the dramatization you need to make it attractive to a 21st century audience plays the feminist card a bit too much.
