  • Missed Opportunity for a Franchise Revival

Rohit Shetty's Singham Again is a film that promises to bring the thunder and intensity of the Singham franchise back to the big screen but ultimately falters in its execution. One of the primary issues with Singham Again is the lack of a strong, coherent story. Unlike its predecessors, which had clear, impactful narratives rooted in the fight for justice, the latest installment feels disjointed and unfocused. Another major flaw is the film's pacing and narration, which are, unfortunately, inconsistent. While the action sequences are shot well, they fail to evoke the same level of excitement or tension that fans are used to. The movie's saving grace lies in its portrayal of Hindu mythology. Rohit Shetty has made a commendable attempt at weaving in elements of mythology, showcasing Hindu gods in a way that highlights their grandeur and significance. The explanations behind the mythology are a refreshing addition and offer a unique perspective that is rarely seen in mainstream Bollywood films. These moments are not only visually stunning but also deeply rooted in Indian cultural heritage.

However, while these sequences are undoubtedly the highlight of the film, they alone cannot carry the weight of the entire narrative, and they come across as disconnected from the larger story. Music and background score are another positive aspect of Singham Again. Most importantly, Singham Again loses sight of what made the franchise a success in the first place: its powerful portrayal of a no-nonsense cop fighting against corruption and injustice. The movie feels more like a normal family drama than a high-stakes action thriller, with the heroic aspects of the character sidelined for melodrama and predictable tropes. Rohit Shetty, known for his flair for action and mass appeal, has missed the mark this time, delivering a film that feels more like a cash grab than a compelling continuation of an iconic franchise.

In conclusion, Singham Again is a disappointing addition to the franchise, one that fails to live up to the expectations set by its predecessors. With a lackluster story, poor pacing, and an underutilized cast, it's hard to justify why this movie exists in the Singham universe. While the depiction of Hindu mythology and the strong background score offer some redeeming qualities, they cannot compensate for the film's failure to deliver on the promise of a hard-hitting cop drama. Fans of the franchise will likely leave the theater feeling unfulfilled, wondering what went wrong with this highly anticipated sequel.

  • Just a one man show, as most south movies with no story

It's aims high with its grand visuals and a powerful lead performance, but ultimately falls flat under the weight of its own ambition. The film tries to copy the epic storytelling of "Baahubali," but instead ends up feeling derivative and predictable.

Background music especially in the first half running like Aeroplan but delivers a story that feels like a leech (slow and draining). The plot revolves around a double role and attempts to build suspense for a sequel, but it lacks the originality and depth needed to engage viewers. The pacing is uneven, with scenes that drag and dialogue that feels repetitive.

While the visuals and set designs are impressive, they can't compensate for the underdeveloped characters and meandering narrative. The lead actor does an admirable job, but the reliance on a one-man show diminishes the film's impact.

In the end, "Devara" is a missed opportunity. Unless you're a die-hard fan of epic tales, it might be best to skip the theater and wait for it to stream.

  • Direction and BGM is mind blowing

"Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha" may not break new ground in terms of its storyline, but it excels in direction, BGM, and authentic performances. The director's ability to create a visually engaging and emotionally resonant film is commendable. The BGM enhances the narrative, providing an auditory experience that deepens the emotional connection with the characters.

The performances are the heart of the film, with each actor bringing their character to life in a way that feels genuine and relatable. This combination of skilled direction, evocative music, and powerful acting makes "Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha" a worthwhile watch. It serves as a reminder that even familiar stories can be told in ways that resonate deeply, leaving a lasting impact on viewers. While the plot may not be groundbreaking, the film's execution transforms it into a memorable cinematic experience that lingers in the mind and heart.
