I like Michael Bay movies. I like art house films too. I can appreciate both for what they are. I saw Ambulance in an early screening and really enjoyed that Bay isn't just falling into his regular routine and camera angles, he's expanding on them. The use of sport drones to get adrenaline pumping shots is unlike anything I've seen in a major feature film, and it's some of the best action I've seen on screen in years.
It feels like during the MCU era many films have gotten kind of lazy with their action. Bay's action direction is very real feeling, very gritty, and very fast. This was a very solid action thriller.

I don't understand why this needed to be made. It's about an hour long, so not even really a feature-length film. I didn't really like it at all. Strike two for Hodgee Films, because Pharma Bro was bad too.
It's played as lighthearted and meant to be endearing, but Brent Hodge, a faux-journalist documentarian, did something that is an example of everything wrong with modern journalism.... he stalked his subject. Not only did he stalk his subject, he didn't even ask any meaningful questions or provide any meaningful insight. Brent Hodge isn't really a great documentarian, he makes long form YouTube videos. You would get more out of watching a ten minute InfoWars analysis on Martin than you would paying $7 on iTunes to watch this BARELY feature length "film"
