As much as I am a fan of the original, this sequel did not hit all the right cues as the first movie.
With inside scoop of the reason Jeffrey Jones character, Charles, was "Killed Off", it can not be helped but feel is acting in it was missing to portray is relationship with the other characters. His face was seen multiple times but his physical presence was very much missed.
Catherine O'Hara, Delia, felt to be MORE annoying than the first movie. Don't know if her overacting was a contribute to the gap over the years and had done other works, such as Schitt's Creek.
The absence of Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis characters, Adam and Barabara, felt very rubbed out easily and reasons that there characters had "moved on" did not settle to well.
William Dafoe, Wolf Jackson, brought interesting talent to the film, but his makeup and costume felt very incomplete and sometimes distracting.
The relationship between Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega, Lydia and Astrid Deetz, worked very well with each other and committed to their characters well. You could see the difference yet similarities of mother and daughter as they moved through the film.
Last but not lease Michael Keaton, Beetlejuice. As much as I enjoyed this actors creativity to had brought this character to the big screen, it felt that his was not able to conjure all 100% of the characters energy. He tone was very base tone and did not express too much of his wide firing eye, but looked more like he was tired and just needed to get through this film project.
Director Tim Burton still shows he still has his twisted creative mind at work and showed it off with the detail sets, costumes, and plot between the land of the living and the underworld.
The best parts of this entire film did not really show itself until the last two scenes. Which is sad because I was really hoping more from the entire cast.

Remarkable acting across-the-board; from Matthew Maguire, Denzel Washington, and Morgan Freeman.
A remarkable story that should be retold in history of how far we have come in seeing how equal we all really are, even in the face of war.

For anybody who was a fan of violent movies in the 90s, and is a huge fan of Denzel Washington along with John Lithgow, this is a movie worth checking out with some over-the-top violence and acting!
After putting a violent criminals behind bars, ego gets the best of a police officer and becomes a detective district Attorney. After years of planning and obsession, the criminal escapes and begins to bit by bit frame the man who put him behind bars.
Today John Lithgow is best known for his slapstick comedies and heartfelt performances, but before all that he was able to portray one of the most psychotic characters brought to film!
Denzel Washington never fails us to give us a gripping suspense film and have you watch it till the very end!
