  • Masterpiece for Zombie movies

Ratings are quite divided. Movie critics hail but audiences loathe.

They are many haters so i went in expecting a B flick kind of dud movie.

First half hour gone and i thought maybe this is where it all goes downhill.

One hour gone and im totally immersed in the story.

If you are expecting a hero combat zombie movie you will be dissapointed.

All the battles are well built up with great choreography. There is nothing that you havent seen from zombies movie so they created the ultimate which is totally refreshing and increased the intensity.

This feels more like train to busan with sadness atmosphere throughout the movie. There are many hidden messages that you can draw meanings from your own interpretation.

The bacon scene between the father, son and mother.

Many question on the baby scene and think it is unnecessary. I think the director message is reborn, healing, hope and in the end to inflict hate and regret to someone.

Some movies felt way too long and you wish the directors would have some emphaty to audiences but not this one, you probably wish they gave some closure to part 1 but the movie just ended abruptly and you would have to wait for the sequel.

  • Less is More..

Previous MI movies are simple, fun and have high octane of action.

The theme is still the same, save the world from mass destruction and believe it or not Ethan is the only saviour.

Mi8 seems to amplify everything. It feels like a combination of 2012 + independence day + any disaster movies.

They created a President character to tell you how serious the mission is since it is the final chapter.

There are many unnecessary scenes and it makes the movie feel draggy. The action scenes are way too long.

The villain looks like a cheap shot guy rather than menacing.

Least enjoyable and probably they make it this way so you wont crave for more.

  • Painful to watch but its a masterpiece

It is never easy for viewers to sit through a movie that revolves around real life tragedy such as this.

The movie goes forth and back in storytelling and it flows seamlessly like potraying the memories of the father.

The father is suffering in silence and trying to find answers from his son's action. They are some pointers throughout the movie in probably hinting what was wrong with the son such as the sudden change of expression at the dining table or the food delivery scene.

There is no overacting and Sean Lau did a marveilous job in his role.

The ending is a reminiscent of inception. Was it real or a dream?
