  • HOLLYWOOD ACADEMY felling embarrassed ...

The second act of the fast-paced comedy full of shouting has the feel of a soap opera was very out of context, The direction was good in some choices, but using jump cuts and other framing options left something to be desired. The final resolution without words and attitudes were very good, as was the first act of introducing the character, but from the plot twist to the comedy the film got lost .And Mikei Madson did well but didn't come close to Sandra Bullock and especially the best performance of the year .Sometimes the academy's options have no basis, the same injustice with Fernanda Montenegro as Brazil's center, they repeated it with Fernanda Torres in I'm still here .

  • WHEN ONE DAY IN LIFE CAN OPEN OUR EYES ABOUT YOUR WHOLE LIFE

Wild strawberries 1957 When one day in life can open our eyes to everything we've been through, whether we've made the right choices and even our way of being is called into question. Dr. BORG (Victor Sjostrom) a financially and professionally successful widower makes a car trip to receive a prize, but on this trip he ends up passing through places from his childhood and opening his eyes to the visions of the vivid memories he witnesses, his eternal beloved who currently married his brother, his mother and his son who alone treat the feeling of loneliness very deeply perhaps due to his selfishness and Dr. BORG can see all of this only after that day when he gives a ride to some people who, talking about life, opens it up to his eyes. His family picked wild strawberries as a child, but even so he could have had a name more closely linked to the protagonist. Director Ingamar Bergman's plans are the most psychological in the history of cinema, he has a quick dollie or zoom for important expressions of the character, but it is not comical like Quentin Tarantino's, always trying to cut as little as possible always brings a lot of reality and drama of the scenes. A genius!!!

  • GREAT BUT SOMETHING WAS MISSING

Maestro 2023. I believe we wouldn't need the first monologue by maestro LEONARD BERNSTEIN (Bradley Cooper) I believe it was unnecessary, it was the director's intention for us to know that regardless of what we saw in the relationship between the two there was love, no matter what form it took Express yourself, there was love in the relationship. Cooper (now talking about the director) has a very sensitive language, because in this film he ends up using a lot of fixed camera, if we watch a star is born the camera is very dynamic, so he knows exactly where to place it, like when his wife FELICIA (Carey Mulligan) notices that she is no longer beside her husband and leaves the scene, the initial scene when we switch to a 4:3 screen format in black and white during the important phone call to LEONARD and when the window opens we have a new screen ratio and its sexual option in a compensated frame and we have the dynamism of the camera as well as LEONARD himself in his early career shown even in a theatrical way. Sometimes their relationship doesn't seem very convincing, but I believe it was supposed to be like that because their love has always been like that, with a lot of affection and coexistence. The photography is nothing new, but the vintage colors are very beautiful and pleasant to look at. The music really is the art of the true LEONARD and the regency interpretations are convincing, or at least with a lot of feeling. The entire conflict is limited only to LEONARD's bisexuality and it is nothing more than that, it would be the only weak point of the film, throughout his career and life had nothing more to say than that? But remembering that technically it is a great film, it will probably aim for an Oscar perhaps because it has different screen ratios, colors, uncut (or hidden) crane angles and fixed cameras too... but perhaps the Oscar will go to Carey Mulligan, but Cooper spared no time for her performance. Great movie, maybe there was some information missing that wasn't approved by the family or something like that, but it's a great movie.
