This documentary proves how hard it is to motivate a group of individuals to gel and perform as a whole. Those who said "Pep won't make it in the Premier League" and those that are now saying "I could manage that team with an infinite amount of money" need to watch this. They would very quickly learn a thing or two. The documentary is about keeping faith in yourselves and your team mates. Trusting and believing in your manager and your peers and never giving up. It's about friendship and family. It goes beyond football. It's fantastic to see the bond that is made between individuals from across the globe and how they succeed in the Man City melting pot. Great TV.
Unfortunately Michelle Keegan is as wooden as ever. She's a dreadful actress and is the same in everything she does. Constipation Street was too good for her. However she's not the only reason this was a flop.
The idea was there. A great story by a great author that has some great twists and turns. However this Netflix series was massively disappointing.
Too many unanswered questions. Lazy writing.
The script was weak, the acting generally was OK, however plastic Keegan was the wrong choice for the leading role. Too much Botox and plastic surgery leaves her more expressionless than ever.
8 episodes was too many, the last was only 30 mins which just goes to show they'd exhausted the plot before this. It could have easily been squeezed into 6 episodes.
Don't waste your time watching this. Read the book instead.

Not Guy Ritchie's finest hour.
It's a good film. But despite the all star cast it's just another tired gangster movie. 'Lock Stock' and 'Snatch' were well ahead of their days when they were released. They were groundbreaking and original and this certainly isn't up there with them. They had amazing soundtracks and original DOP styles. This is just predictable with the same sorts of characters, similar script and mockney dialogue.
There were some great scenes and quite often I found myself quite engaged, but well known actors were trying far too hard. In fact most of the movie was over acted. Watchable but really not amazing.
Where's Vinnie Jones when you need him?
