The film was okay if you are into that degenerate lifestyle. The storyline is kinda phony because in reality most parents who are well off wouldn't send their kids to the rough environment they grew up in. Especially if they got enemies in that environment who want them dead. That is a stupid and dangerous move if they got business come and go don't settle there. The are risking both and their children's lives. Also, geographical wise when the Momma character says that she have to fly to Baltimore to get her drugs. In reality New York City and Baltimore is not that far from each other so she can drive, catch a bus, or catch the Northeast Regional Corridor train.

The trying to put a 2023 world into 1954 in the pilot episode and then other they tried sugar code of what society was in the 1950's. The music sucks and did not sound like the 1950s. I believe it would be a better story if Wally and Nancy fall for each other instead they play it off. Why have a black dude and an Asian girl fall for each other. The world should know that type of relationship can happen. There was a lot of groof such as the extra wearing modern hairstyles that didn't exist in 1950s America. In episode 2 when Olivia was looking at the students files the records are innocent such as birthdates being born in 1938-1939 but in 1954-55 school year if they are junior- senior their birthdates are 1937-1938. Also, their locations are incorrect showing that are from Pennsylvania instead of California where the show is set. This show ruin the franchise looking like a soft porno and melo drama like Degrassi instead being a fun, and family friendly show.
