I like the premise of the show, to highlight relationship issues, that naturally occur, especially in a marriage within the setting of two partnered assassins. It's very clever, and it's captivating. I just wished the entire time that the female lead would be slightly more likeable because I have a hard time empathizing with her because she's so incredibly annoying. Maybe that is the point, but I feel like the show could've been elevated by having a slightly more likeable female lead.
It was because of that that I initially stopped watching, and then gave it another go because like I mentioned, I really liked the premise and I really like Danny Glover but I just cannot stand that woman. It's very hard to keep watching because of her but I'll continue watching regardless because I'm keen to see how it ends.

Given the low rating of this movie, I did not expect much, But considering it's on Netflix I thought I'd give it a shot and about two minutes in I knew this was going to be a great movie. The dialogues are incredibly witty, the scenes are funny, the action is top notch. The plot is a bit contrived sure but the rest is absolutely enjoyable to watch. So I really don't understand the bad ratings it received, possibly because some right wing nut job, didn't like the fact that it's an all female cast and they're kicking ass. Somehow they might feel threatened in their masculinity, but this is not some action movie that's trying to be woke or diverse, it's just genuinely funny and incredibly well shot.
Replace the comet with global warming or coronavirus and you've got a pretty good idea of how well humans deal with scientific predictions and our need to do something about it, after watching the movie. In short we're screwed. People love using the fruits of science but stop trusting it once it becomes inconvenient, like wearing a mask, getting a jab, or reduce the use of fossil fuels. Very entertaining watch of the end of the world. Perfect Christmas movie!
