As a finale, this episode was satisfying enough. We saw old characters return in flashbacks and the characters we have left get conclusions that I can be happy with. Even though the commonwealth story arc felt a little rushed and out of place in a lot of aspects, it still moved the story forward enough to be worth implementing. I still think the final season should have had way more big character deaths, it seemed like the right time for many of our characters to go after all this time. This ties in to my main issue with the finale, being that it was clearly made to push the ever expanding universe's spin-offs. If it wasn't for that it would have been near perfect ending to my favourite show.
Just an absolute crime they cancelled this show. What a masterfully written and directed finale to an amazing season. Just hope we can get the full story one day (fingers crossed).
I'm the biggest twd fan you'll find. But I'm also fair and honest! This episode isn't good, giving it a 10/10 just takes away from the best episodes of the walking dead, no way out, too far gone etc. Just be a fair viewer and rate it as you actually would please.
