I wanted to watch this movie because of the quirky title. Who wouldn't? What I didn't know at the time, that the grandma's name was indeed Wong Fei Hung.

The movie starts getting interesting when the girl Gucci moves in with her grandmother. Similar name to the real kung-fu master was not the only coincidental thing Granny Hung had.

There was nothing special about the lady, who teaches Tai Chi in the park to other elderly people.

You didn't expect her neighbours to also be parallel counterparts associated with the real Wong Fei Hung either. Some in name only, others shared similar attributes.

Since the entire series takes place on one set. The house, it feels like a stage play. There are only 5 main characters, so we are not bogged down by details of who everyone is. They are introduced as the series runs on.

The dialog is direct and concise. The cast is made up of known character actors. It would not surprise me to learn that any one of them would have come up with the script and concept.

I remember watching this when I was young. To watch it in one go now, being so short, it is conceivable that it could be made into a movie if done today.

Carol Cheng is a great actress even the early days of her career. Kam Kwok-Leung is a writer. I could see him pen this.

First of all, I liked that it was an updated Chinese ghost love story. That is what it is. It gives you the traditional ghost love story in the modern times, but sometimes it seems to forget the past is the 1990s. Computers were prevalent back then.

Katy Kung and Owen Cheung works well as the leads, although Owen seemed monotonous at the beginning. As it is the first time I have seen Owen Cheung in a leading role, he is not bad here. It is not a horror story and I do like the comedic moments in it. It is definitely a duet as well. The theme songs playing in the background echoes the story through out the series.
