Peter Darchuk is a dreamer with a heart of gold...literally. His 24k gold heart is currently up for bid on ebay (serious inquiries only). Lifetime has optioned the rights to his story and Lance Bass has expressed interest in playing the lead. Tentatively titled: "Heart of Gold, Clouds Below."

  • oh man! soooooo great!

every once in a while you stumble upon something and you say to yourself, "ahhhh, this was made by my people!" this short is just brilliant. simple, yet rich. we need to see more from mr. prendergast. comedy is in dire need of more fellas like this. if he doesn't succeed, i have no faith in the future of comedy.

you can find "the delicious" on the first mcsweeney's "wholphin" quarterly DVD, along with a bunch of other pretty fantastic pieces. subscribe. you won't be disappointed (no, i don't work for mcsweeney's, but frankly, i wish i did).

    viva la delicious!

  • Es Muy Muy Elegante, Si

I saw this film as part of the Alibi Short Film Festival in Albuquerque, NM. Most of the films were nothing but tripe, but El Elegante was so beautiful it made me want to tear my pants off and twirl them around my head. The production design is stellar, reminiscent of the work of Aline Bonetto or David Wasco. There is very little dialogue, but the film is smartly crafted in essence and feel. The characters are quirky, the actors refreshing. Vince Di Meglio and Tim Rasmussen are intelligent absurdists who obviously have a long career ahead of them. Take note.
