I loved, loved, loved the original. I'm not expecting this to be the same (the original was French for goodness sakes, with an amazing cast, and that certainly added to the flavor and frantic pace of the show). Still, the high potential concept and stories are solid (assuming they tell some of the same stories), so I'm giving the US version a chance, certainly more than one episode, and I'm allowing this cast to make it their own. At the end of the season I hope it turns out to be as good as the original or is close, even if it's slightly different and Kaitlin isn't the incredible Audrey Fleurot (but who is?). This version certainly has high potential of its own.

My wife said this is intended for prepubescent boys. And I don't disagree. Writing is lazy. So many dumb dick and jizz jokes. At least in first three or four episodes. Can't go any further. So disappointing. I expected more.

In to the second season and this show keeps getting better. Great ensemble cast. Enough twists and turns to keep me interested and on my toes. There are so many shows that rely on guns and copious amounts of violence and throat-slitting, not to mention the crime, bad guy cliches, but this show relies on the characters, their experiences, innocence (they're not all criminals and gun-toting cops), their determination, and innate desire to do good - even the at-times mean-spirited Murphy. Great job, guys.
