I saw this movie with extremely low expectations, and I can sadly inform you that the movie barely lived up to them.
As much as I loved to see Janne "Loffe" Karlsson on the big screen again, the writers should have realized early in the scriptwriting process that seven people falling into the water, isn't original or funny. The story is very thin and the jokes are used and predictable, the ones that ain't, is just plain boring. I smiled like three times during the entire film.
The placement of Swedish Findus products is (unintentionally) funny, why not just a big sign saying; "Findus made it happen!".
Göta Kanal 2 doesn't need to be seen at the cinema or on DVD, just wait for it to air on TV, it wont take too long.

I loved Stephen Sommer's "The Mummy" and I liked the sequel. This movie however, are among the worst films I've seen this decade. The worst acting comes from Richard Roxburgh (Count Dracula) and his three wives(?) they overact and can't seem get one sentence right.
I can't understand why Sommer could cast these people, maybe the budget went to the effects (which aren't too lame, but not as good as in "the mummy"). Sometimes in the movie they have parts that just don't belong or make any sense, It just takes up time. Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale do what you expect of them, the're good and true to their characters. I sure hope they don't make a sequel out of this one, but if they do, I hope Hugh makes the right decision of passing on it.
