Watched it at the Regal Mystery Movie so didn't know what it was prior. It is simply pointless as in no reason to tell this story. How someone read such a basic story and said yeah, let's put a few million behind it. Actors were fine except for Geraldine Viswanathan's fake accent that she would punch every few lines. I'm a fan of hers from other work, just not sure why the accent was needed especially since she could not pull it off. The main guy did a good job at playing a d!ck and the main girl did an equally good job at playing crazy. Luckily, it will be a very forgettable movie which is a good thing.
I am a huge Impractical Jokers fan since day one. I think they have been getting better/funnier over the seasons through the 9th. When I first heard about Joe's departure, I knew the show would not be the same. Joe was the nucleus of the show, he is the wild card that will do just about anything and was truly the funniest. Any of the other members left, I think the show could work but not Joe. Either way, I watched the 1st episode of season 10 and wow, that was boring. First, Eric Andre is annoying and knew he would not be a good edition. Second, I was shocked that the guest star is only involved in the punishment. They are not part of any of the jokes, they do not take part in the skits. Hopefully the other episodes will be better with better guests but this first one was a big fat no.
I spent a couple of minutes going through some of the lower rated reviews and like others say, so many of you are missing the point especially the ones annoyed with the sitcom parts. It is supposed to be over the top to poke fun at the many sitcoms over the years that show a pretty/smart wife that has to deal with a slob/dumb husband. In more recent years, King of Queens and Kevin Can Wait hence the name of the show. It simply answers the question, how can this woman deal with this man?! This allows us to see a version that isn't so happy and one that shows the struggles she is going through. Is it really that hard to understand? Claddagh72, ThorMelsted, and webbew1, you are the slowest reviewers. Robstackley, we get it, you're super old.
Is it an amazing show? No it's not. Is it pretty decent though? Absolutely. I voted a 7 but would give it a 6.5 which is good. If you were a fan of King of Queens or shows like it, give it a shot.
