So we did so very well last episode and then completely went in the opposite direction with this one. Way to go!!
Yes i know it's a "big final season emergency" but 45 minutes spent practically doing nothing is just ridiculous. Cart cop was getting a more emotional send off than bobby nash and then ended up surviving. Like it wasn't even stressful to watch because guess what 90% of that was seen via twitter bc everything gets leaked these days.
Condensing chims speech to hint at his captaincy in s9, athena selling the house, mara adoption, buck looking for a new place, eddie and chris moving back, and madney baby into the last 5 minutes is just such lazy writing.
And don't even get me started on the queerbaiting from all those interviews, oliver stark and ryan guzman put out this week. Everyone should be scared.

After the last few weeks, my expectations for this episode were extremely low but i just got win after win tonight. Characters interacting with multiple people and in different locations, good pacing, good writing, not too much focus on the calls, AND eddie whew haven't smiled like this in a month
this is what happens when you don't spend the entire episode focusing on an emergency and actually remembering who your characters actually are and writing them correctly. Tonight is an example of how an ensemble show should be written. Not choosing to focus on one or two characters but choosing to take time and include every one of them because that right there is what makes 9-1-1 the show that it is.
