I don't even know where to begin with the utter failure that this episode embodies. The script, the dialogue, the tone, the anachronisms, the inconsistencies....it's all here. Who even OK'd this? Skip this one and you won't be disappointed....and you really won't be missing much in the way of character and story progression.
As a die-hard Tarantino fan I felt a tad let-down by this, his latest effort (and last if we are to believe what he's been saying) It's just too self-referential, which makes it difficult to fully get into the characters and the plot....wait....was there a plot? There seemed to be a thin veneer of a plot, which is not un-Tarantino like; but it seemed to wander aimlessly at times. While it has it's moments (mostly of the surreal variety), I feel like this was a movie made for Hollywood. Almost an inside joke for Hollywood insiders....and a movie that only Hollywood could love.
Just finished watching this one online. If you got 19 minutes of your life you want to throw away then go ahead and check it out for yourself. Aside from the lovely scenery, this movie fails on all fronts and the acting takes the tone that was set so beautifully in the story and throws it out the window. Horrible choice of actor for the part of the man in the black suit....you're better off sticking to what you had pictured in your head while reading. I hope Stephen King never gets a chance to see this. They butchered what was great story.
Could've been so much better.
