A really bizarre series. Seems to swing wildly from plotline to plotline and genre to genre... and not in some kind of clever artistic way.
It feels like a dozen writers were given a task of writing something and they kind of smooshed the results together even though they didn't necessarily make sense.
It's not horrendous but in some way it is.
There are some ropey CGI effects throughout. It's seems unclear what time period they want to be set in as fashions and themes seem inconsistent.
Eric feels pointless to me. I don't feel like it was a necessary part of the story and feels tacked on as though they wanted to make this stand out by having an "interesting" twist.

I think the negative reviews are mostly people that gave up too soon on the series. Sadly it's not always about instant gratification!
The show gets funnier and more ridiculous as each episode passes. Ridiculous in a good way.
The cast is fantastic Kristen Wiig really plays the hell out of Maxine. Alison Janney is deliciously evil. Ricky Martin plays a great role and special mention to Carol Burnett... her character goes on quite the journey and it was gripping to see where she was heading.
I found everything about the show utterly engaging. Sure it's not to be taken too seriously but that is the point.

The negative reviews for this entire series are kind of comical. Is it perfect? No. Was the original series perfect? No.
The last episode, as expected, feels rushed. By the end of episode 4 I knew they'd have way too much to fit in and a few things happen that feel a bit too convenient but it feels like an abridged story rather than a fake-out that we got repeatedly in Fear The Walking Dead.
So, that aside, it feels like we finally have the answers we needed and some kind of proper closure for the franchise. It's been great to see some fantastic performances from Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira alongside a mostly strong supporting cast.
