  • Hustle and Heart: Badmaash Company Endures with 90s Scams

Badmaash Company still holds up as a slick, engaging 7/10 con caper 15 years on, bursting with 90s Bombay swagger.

Shahid Kapoor dazzles as Karan, a hustler with big dreams and bigger scams, his charm and turmoil driving the film's pulse. Anushka Sharma's Bulbul sparkles with sass and heart, her romance with Shahid adding emotional heft, though she's occasionally sidelined.

Meiyang Chang's Zing brings sweet naivety, while Vir Das' Chandu lands laughs with quirky flair -both fun but stuck in shallow roles. Anupam Kher's brief turn as Karan's stern dad adds poignant weight.

Parmeet Sethi's debut direction pops with style, weaving clever heists against India's economic boom, with Pritam's "Ayaashi" fueling the vibe. The 144-minute runtime drags slightly in a predictable second half, and some cons feel far-fetched, but the crew's chemistry and nostalgic 90s aesthetic keep you hooked. It works for its sharp dialogue, youthful energy, and a redemptive arc that lands without preaching.

A fun, flashy ride for heist fans craving a Bollywood twist... still worth a weekend binge.

  • The Aftermath of Turbo Granny: The New Normal for Momo and Okarun

Following up on the explosive premiere of Dandadan was always going to be a challenge, and while Ep 2 doesn't quite hit the same dizzying highs, it's still a very good episode. 7.5/10

The focus here is on character development and world-building, as Momo and Okarun begin to deal with the messy aftermath of their encounter with Turbo Granny. It's a slightly more contained episode, which allows the show to lean into the hilarious and awkward dynamic between the two protagonists. The introduction of the eccentric new character is a fun twist, promising even more bizarre adventures.

The animation remains top-tier, showcasing Science SARU's unique style with every frame. While it lacks the sheer shock value of the first episode, it's a necessary and enjoyable step that solidifies the series' premise.

This episode proves Dandadan isn't just a one-hit wonder; it's a consistently entertaining ride.

  • Red Pill, Blue Pill, Timeless Pill: Why The Matrix Never Ages

Twenty-five years later, The Matrix remains a lightning bolt of pure cinema that crackles with the same electric energy as when it first shattered our perception of reality. What seemed like cutting-edge effects in 1999 now feel timeless rather than dated... proof that true innovation transcends technology.

Keanu Reeves delivers his career-defining performance as Neo, his signature stoicism perfectly matching a character grappling with existential uncertainty. Laurence Fishburne's Morpheus is magnetic philosophy in motion, while Hugo Weaving's Agent Smith remains cinema's most chillingly logical villain.

The Wachowski brothers (who are now the sisters) crafted something unprecedented: a blockbuster that trusts its audience's intelligence. The film's prescient themes hit harder today than ever. In our age of social media manipulation and artificial intelligence, Neo's choice between comforting lies and uncomfortable truth feels urgently relevant.

The movie's philosophical depth - drawing from Plato's Cave, Baudrillard's simulacra, and Buddhist enlightenment - elevates what could have been simple sci-fi into genuine art. "Bullet time" may have been endlessly parodied, but within The Matrix's context, it serves the story perfectly, visualizing Neo's growing mastery over perceived limitations.

This isn't just great science fiction; it's a modern myth about awakening that grows more powerful with each viewing.
