I don't really understand this film, but I came away from it feeling like I had witnessed something brilliant. I normally do not care for 'art' films, but whatever this is, it struck me quite deeply, and there is something wonderful here. I was so struck by it, I actually wrote Terry a letter about this. No, he never responded, but it makes no difference. I think that, in the future, people will see this film for what it is. Something great. And it's not just the photography, or the art direction. It's the whole thing wrapped up together like a film should be. And Bridges is just really terrific.

This show captured 1989, the satanic panic, and the style of all those old supernatural horror films to the 'T'. I suspect that when the network saw it, they had them edit out a few minor shots that might give away what was a possible ending, so they could do a second season. At least I hope so. But having lived through that period, I can say they did it very well.
While not a comedy, it did keep me laughing at all the nods to other films of that genre, which in way reminded me of Stranger Things, but they limited jump scares, nudity blood, and ultra violence, and still made a good show. My hat is off to the producers and directors and writers.
PS the cast is all good, and this is Brice Campbell's 2nd best role after Bubba Ho Tep.

What total crap was this? Seriously, they just walk around putting bullets in Germans just standing there? I can see what they were trying to do, but it was a miserable failure, and I kept begging it to please stop. I am reliably told that the Gestapo used to torture their prisoners by making them watch this film. Especially the idiotic 'musical' scene. And do not get me going on about authenticity. It was terrible. Oh yeah, Afrika Corps troopers down there... yeah... didn't ANYONE do any research at all? And do not get me started about the idiotic use of radios. Yes, let's all send really important messages in the clear, in lunchbox sized radios that transmit from Africa to London.
