  • Plain fun

My daughter took me for my 67th birthday,I've never played the game or even seen anyone play it. But I have to say I had a good time. Made me laugh a number of times. And so many Easter eggs in reference to many movies were scattered throughout the movie, that especially if you're old enough to catch them all. And I'm pretty sure I missed a few. And watching Jason Momoa make fun of himself and really play the self deprecation was hilarious. A man with a heart and a sense of humor. Takes someone not full of themselves to play a character like that.

Pretty much forgot about it the next day,but a few days later started thinking about again. And every time I do,a couple times a day. I get a big smile on my face. So i must say, well done guys. It's basically a new twist on Jumunji. We And I'm all for it and hopefully we'll get to see number two. 🤞

  • Had fun

I don't personally understand the distaste for this movie probably because I didn't even know it came from a video game. Saw the preview while at the movies. I just liked the colors, the preview and a lot of the actors in it. Just looked fun and completely different from anything I'd seen in a long time. Kinda reminded me of a better budgeted, quality, Tank Girl. Then when I went to see with a friend, was really happy with it. Not that it was some great masterpiece. Just that it was akin to a great Saturday popcorn movie. Dumb fun,no thinking required. Almost every movie of this now requires you to pay attention and connect the dots to follow the lore. IE marvel movies. They all be connected and are part of a bigger universe as they say. Not that I don't like some of them. Just that I could care less about the whole world building.

I completely understand that there are a lot of people who demand and require similarity to the game and how maddening it is when not even close. But being completely ignorant of the source material allowed us to have a ball and enjoy watching the movie.

  • Realistic

I read a review that says this and other movies about coaches and teachers pushing their students to the limit,is unrealistic and doesn't happen. That's actually hilariously funny. Maybe they're young or a part of the parciatation trophy era. I'm 70 years old and when i attended school, you were pushed to the limit by some. They would pull talent out of people because they knew what they were doing and who warranted it. Parents got too whimpy and started complaining. Instead of taking them out of the sport, band or whatever. They cared only for themselves and destroyed many great educators.so as in today, you just don't see great qualified people running everything. The adults are gone. People that fold under the pressure are in charge of most everything. From schools to government offices. It's really sad.
