Bullseye is another one of those Barry and Enright productions where you answer questions and avoid the bad guy in the bonus round, but the jumbled words category was pretty creative. But the one thing about that differs from Jokers Wild and Tic Tac Dough is the technical aspects. The disco-flavored theme is one of the best game show themes ever written. The sound effects are just way too cool (especially the banking sound and the bulleye buzzers).
And don't forget the set, which looks way ahead of its time, and the overall tone of the show looks like a typical game show from the 90's. Watch an episode and you will not believe that this is from the early 80's.

Out of all of the Rankin/Bass Christmas specials, this one has the
best writing of the bunch. Why? Because the songs are at there
best (who can forget the one foot in front the other song), and even
though it is ficticious, the storyline is actually pretty convincing.
And the Burglar Meister is easily the best of the antangonist of the
special with his sinister plan. The only downfall to this special is
the animation, which in this one, it's unbelivably bad (compared to
their other specials). But still, with the great character
development, a memberable storyline and songs, and the great
voice overs (Frees, Wynn, Rooney, Astaire etc.) , this emerges as
the one the lives up to it's popular song.

The upside
The format of the show stays true to the original. I loved the original British version, and this format almost lives up to original version. Also, it is good to see Ryan and Colin in top form, as they were in the British version, and Wayne is such a talented singer, I think even better than Josie. Drew is a fine host. Though is not as witty as Clive, he has his share of funny lines. Also, a much classier set.
The downside
When Drew joins the games. He does not live up to the other performers. Also, I don't like that there are three regulars and one guest, cause in the orignal, there was only one regular, leaving much more room for guest performers. The other downside is censorship, because in the original version, since the show was on cable, they were free to do anything they want, but in this version, the censors were much more strict, ruining some of the fun.
But Overall
This show almost lives up to the Orignal.
