Portrait of a Scandalous Family is a striking, emotionally layered, fictional drama that unravels the secrets behind one of the country's most fascinating families. At its core is the story of Sakir Pasa's culturally rich and art-loving household. His father was a colonel, his brother a grand vizier, and his children would become leading figures of the early Turkish Republic. Most notably, his son Cevat Sakir (better known as Halikarnas Balikcisi) would become one of the most prolific and beloved authors in Turkish literature.
Season 1 masterfully blends historical insight with gripping storytelling. Each episode pulls you deeper into a world where legacy, power, and creativity collide. The performances are superb, the atmosphere elegant yet intense, and the writing offers a delicate balance of drama and introspection.
A beautifully crafted series that leaves you craving more - both a portrait of a family and a nation, in transformation.

"The Time Machine" (2002) is a breathtaking cinematic experience that brilliantly combines science fiction, romance, and adventure into a visually stunning and emotionally resonant journey. Directed by Simon Wells and based on H. G. Wells' classic novel, this adaptation captivates with its rich storytelling, thought-provoking themes, and incredible performances.
Guy Pearce delivers an outstanding performance as Alexander Hartdegen, a man driven by love and loss to invent a time machine. His journey through time is not only a mesmerizing exploration of humanity's potential and pitfalls but also an emotional quest that keeps viewers deeply engaged. Samantha Mumba's portrayal of Mara brings warmth and heart to the story, and their chemistry adds an emotional depth that lingers long after the credits roll.
The film's visuals are breathtaking, from the detailed recreation of 19th-century New York to the imaginative future landscapes. The special effects still hold up, especially the mesmerizing time-travel sequences that visually capture the passage of time in ways that feel both innovative and poetic. Klaus Badelt's hauntingly beautiful score perfectly complements the film, enhancing every moment with emotional gravitas.
What makes "The Time Machine" truly remarkable is its timeless message. It explores profound questions about humanity, progress, and the consequences of our choices, all while maintaining an exciting pace and captivating narrative.
This movie is a gem that deserves far more recognition than it gets. Whether you're a fan of science fiction or just love a well-crafted story with heart, "The Time Machine" is an absolute must-watch. A perfect 10-star masterpiece!

I couldn't understand why people hate this movie. (???) Is is funny, entertaining and like many other comedy films have a little bit exaggeration. Cast is fine. I felt happy after the film. I am still laughing. Many thanks for Sahan and Togan Gökbakar.
I laughed nearly in every scene. The facial gestures and mimics are fine.
people said "BAD MOVIE", Why? They need to write what it is bad. I think it is really a nice work and I can hardly wait Şahan to make a new movie.
In my opinion this is better than Recep Ivedik films. The characters are not as exaggerated as in Recep İvedik series. Very normal young people they are. Thanks again.
