I shouldn't but I keep being suprised by not just negative reviews for a more than decent movie. But the the exaggerations 'pathetic', 'ridiculous', 'worst representation of Mt. Everest', and so on.
I guess that's a sign of the times; being enraged and very judgemental about something like this.
It's a movie not a David Attenborough documentary. It's not an incredible thriller with a super clever plot and a word smith type of script, it's a nice popcorn type of action movie.
I really like it, was engaged and I didn't even have popcorn😁

Just watched all episodes. And I was surprised in the best way possible. I started reading the comics in the sixties and kept it up. I really enjoyed the original Uderzo/Goscinny albums. The historic as well ad modern cultural references were excellent and very funny. The political comments hidden in the stories were great.
And I liked the characters and their dynamics a lot.
This show has everything the old albums had. Apart from the above, the sound track was surprisingly fun.
Usually I don't care too much for modern, computer generated, animations. There are great exceptions. But the plastic looking characters are too slick. But in this show it actually works. Not sure why. Maybe because it's not all plastic-y. Obelix' pants for example are very textured.
All in all I had a lot of laughs and enjoyed every minute of it because it was a modernized version of what I remember from the first 2 decades of reading Asterix and Obelix.

I didn't know what to expect and read some negative reviews. Still I usually like Wahlberg, Monaghan, Hinds, Q and have no Oscar worthy expectations so I gave it a shot.
It turns out to be a nice entertaining movie.
The kids played well. It's also well paced with a good rhythm alternating action, laughs, a nice story that mixes True Lies/Family Vacation.
That doesn't really tell you what you don't already know if you read the movie description. Although there are many movies that play along these lines, I still like it when it's well made. And this one is.
The critics don't seem to be too excited about it, but then again, they use very different criteria than I do. When I watch movies like this, I just want to be entertained.
