I must agree with others about how this movie could have been so much better had they strung the stories together instead of splitting them apart. While I like weird movies, this was even too much for me, and I can see how it lost so much money. Sure the acting and the visuals were great, but at what cost? The keep the viewer wondering what the hell is going on? I'm 2/3s of the way through the movie and I STILL dont know what it's about. I cant tell if this is a waste of my time or that maybe I'm just not "with it". I keep hoping that there is redemption in the last third, because I'm lost... REALLY lost. And I still have to ask the question: Why?
I wont repeat all the reviews on this movie because they said it better than I can. Quentin Tarantino will go down as Hollywood's greatest directors, and like someone said "It's not his best movie, but it's still worth watching". But one thing threw me off for the entire movie: What was all that coughing, hacking and spitting that Leo did throughout the move... what was that all about? I'm trying to put this piece of the puzzle together and cant. If you never saw the move before, you'd think he had AIDS and was going to die at the end of the movie. I kept waiting for that to happen and it never did. This is the only thing that ruins the movie for me, or did I miss something?
