This is the best film I have seen at the cinema ever! The flying sequences were incredibly shot with Tom Cruise being as mental as always making the actors actually backseat in the fighter jets so they are reacting to pulling Gs. It had many nods to the first Top Gun, simple storyline that fitted nicely and good characters. One thing i did like was while every diversity box was ticked: all races, both sexes, age, even disability none of this was thrust in your face, it all fitted nicely into the story with no seems showing...no politcal statements everyone just got along as people which is a refreshing change in today's storytelling. The soundtrack was good but above all the action sequences on a large cinema screen literally will have you holding your breath. I truely believe this film saved cinemas post lockdown.
Some really good interviews with ex miners and great footage, however it is very one sided in its politics ignoring the fact general strikes and flying pickets had been made illegal, it doesn't really go into how the country was being paralysed by mass striking, doesn't mention the 3 day week and the investigative journalists insinuate military tactics were being used by police in disorder such as baton guns which werent used, and state a change in police tactics needs to be voted on in parliment which is also incorrect
Scargill's role in the strikes was mainly over looked.
A shame as there is some really good stuff and is still definitely worth a watch purely for the eye witness accounts and footage.

This is an iconic 90s cop action flick, immortalised by Swayze's performance as surfing armed robber Bodhi pitted against his friend Jonny Utah, played by Keanu Reeves. It was almost as if the role was made for Swayze and Reeves puts in his usual solid performance, what he lacks in dramatic acting he makes up for in his physical preparation for these roles.
All in al a must watch with good action scenes and and good surfing clips too.
