  • Great movie!

I rarely ever write reviews for movies but I feel this movie deserves a review. I love this movie, it is such a great movie. SO romantic and no, I don't mean in a teenage sort of way. Anyone at any age would find this movie romantic. Julie (Margot Finley) is so beautiful in the movie and Ronnie (Joshua Jackson) is so adorable. Willa (Alexandra Purvis) is sooo cute in this movie. She steals the show in every scene she is in and she reminds so much of my cousin who is younger then me. I love the whole figure skating part of the movie. The hockey playing part was okay, I don't particularly care for hockey, but it was alright. My favourite scene in particular was the scene when Ronnie and Julie were kissing in the snow.

One of the highlights of the movie was the song. "Something Happened to My Heart." It was one of the most beautiful romantic ballads I've ever heard. I don't understand why the singers of the song didn't become more famous. Maybe they were contracted to do the song for the movie and that was it.

In any case, this is a wonderful movie, no violence, sex or anything offensive. You can watch it with the whole family. I highly recommend it.

    I give it 10/10.

  • Very Good Movie! I liked it!

I taped this movie off the TV about 4 years ago and it was a very good movie. I loved the characters, especially Danielle Harris (Hayley Wheaton) and her sister Katherine Heigl (Alexia Wheaton). I loved the whole atomsphere of the movie.

*The Plot* Two teenage girls named Alexia and Hayley, one younger, one older are both a little envious of each other because Alexia is popular and Hayley is smart and decide they like to switch places with each other and they wish on a star that could be each other. They freak out when they realize their wish actually came true though! But they realize that they each have there own unique personalities and at the end they wish to be back in there own bodies again. Does everything go back to normal and they become themselves again? Well, you'll have to watch to find out! ;)

When I taped the movie, I had no idea it was on video and DVD. I would like to get a copy of this movie on either format. It is a funny movie that kids of all ages can enjoy. :)

  • Original TV version

This movie is awesome! My mom taped it off the TV when I was about 2 years old and I started watching it when I was 4 and have loved it ever since! It is one of the funniest Christmas specials I have ever seen. I mean, who doesn't love that scene were Miss Piggy was coming up the steps and slips and all the characters yelled "Careful of the icy patch!" :D

That being said, I have read numerous comments on amazon.com that the new version that was on video and DVD has been cut. So needless to say, I think I will stick to my taped copy, even with the old Toys "R" Us commercials on it.

It is especially wonderful to see Mr. Jim Henson make an appearance at the end of it. I miss him so much! I mean if you watch the new movies and videos that the Muppets are in, you will notice Kermit's voice is different.

Anyways, I believe everyone should watch this wonderful holiday classic, but if you are thinking of buying it on DVD or video, DON'T! Stick to your taped-off-the-TV copy if you have one.
