  • The Rest Of The Story

First off I have seen a longer and more thorough version of this. I'm not sure why this one was cut down so much. The original showed a crucial part of the story that was basically mentioned here, but didn't go into just how devastating it was. That is how getting the carpet yanked from the first location when they already did so much work and were pretty much on their schedule to have everything completed by the opening really harmed them big time. In this version they mentioned losing the first place, then moving to the second, but it seemed like just one of those things that happens.... It wasn't.

The first time I saw the longer version I was glad to find out so much more about what actually happened there. In fact in the longer version they spent more time on the commune who took charge of the food lines too. It's really amazing how they pulled off feeding so many kids there.

In the end as they do mention there were so many ways things could have screwed everything up, but thanks to many miracle happenings and helping hands it all just worked out peacefully.

  • What Memories

I'm 71 so I was 13 when this happened ans 15 when Woodstock happened. Since I lived in ND it was a very long way to hitch hike to ether concert had I tried (Later when driving truck I found Woodstock would have really been tough to get to).

When I see either movie I see my generation right there acting kind of foolish as most people do as a right of passage between our teens and gradual maturity as adults. Back then of course it all made sense and we were changing the world for the better...Only in the end that was mostly getting high and partying a lot thinking.

The one problem I have with the music is there was far too little of it per group. I saw this years ago and I think they cut out some of the performances. Still it was a fun watch..

  • Intense But Fun Too

I watched the trailer as it played in the background as I tried to read what it was about. From the trailer I thought it was more of a comedy, but I found out that it's more action packed once I watched it. The funny parts were put mostly in the trailer.

In the tradition of action movies you basically need to suspend reality and accept the rules here are like in a alternate world or you'd soon get caught up in "There's no way they would do that in this country." Then again now days that is not so true anymore so maybe they would do such dumb things.

All in all it was interesting though silly at times.
